Howdy folks 👋. Simon here, one of the OG ABC guides! That’s right, I helped Ben during that inaugural 2021 season get this thing off the ground and after dealing with several years of back to back season ending injuries (blown knee, broken back, etc), I am back stronger than ever. I’m stoked to ski again with some of you who I’ve skied with in the past and meet some of the new folks as well!
Alright, let’s get to the nitty gritty, what’s happening this weekend? It looks like we are getting snow, that’s for sure, how much of it is the question and will we get hosed with high freezing levels ? But some models are saying 1200m FL which would be phenomenal.
Timing of all this is also looking tricky, looks like it will begin early Sat morn so we won’t quite have a reset to start the day but it will be building while we are out there.
I skied at Journeyman Lodge today, we got about 5-10cm last night overlying a slightly breakable crust but it carries okay if you are light on your feet.
Stay tuned for updates in the next couple days. I believe the best option for us on Sat will be Whistler Blackcomb. I’ll give more updates Friday morning.
