Ok. So my theory of the warm weather coming in later than forecasted is starting to look more realistic.. This means that the warm temps will start to effect the snow in Whistler and and STSG end of the day today(Friday). UNFORTUNATLY Avalanche Canada is being very proactive and has already set the Hazard level in the STSG zone to High. This means they are not loading any skiers 😫. Now thinking of the weekend. If we compare the detailed temperature forecast from the Duffy and Whistler below you will see a big difference between the timing and duration of the temp spike. WE SKI THE GREEN CIRCLES.. Duffy on Saturday - Blackcomb on Sunday.
