Saturday Plans
The plan for Saturday is to head into the Whistler backcountry to play around in the freshly fallen storm snow. We still need a few more people to sign up for the day to go forward.

It’s confirmed looks like snow is on the way starting Tuesday. Winter is back on!
Stay tuned for a plan from Brenden coming for the weekend!

Well the weather is here to stay, at least for this weekend.
Colder and colder temps will settle in as that ridge slips south directing some northerly outflow towards us.
The crust believe it or not is starting to facet out and make for more enjoyable travel.
Plan this weekend:
When the skiing is less than ideal we like to work on some rope or mountaineer skills.
Topics we can cover include; rappelling, crampon skills, ice axe skills, belayed skiing, short roping, and glacier travel.

Blocking pattern!!!
We are currently experience a strong ridge of high pressure sitting over the west coast. It can often direct or block the heat stream around most of BC / AB.
The good news is nice temps, no winds and sunshine! The bad, no snow for a bit.
We are going to wait till the weather models update tomorrow before we decide on a plan this weekend. The models can often poorly predict when a ridge like this breaks down.
Currently we have Jason and Dan guiding this weekend. They will be looking for corn snow or practicing some rope skills!

Anyone else signing up for the Duffey tour on Saturday?
I went up the Matier glacier today and the skiing was soo good. You’d be silly not heading to the Duffy if you’re at all curious.

Friday - Whistler Blackcomb With Bram
Saturday - Duffy day with Bram
Sunday - WhistlerBlackcomb day Matt Casson
Hey folks. The snow has been great! Reset all week and periods of sun. Friday we start to see the sun poke out, sunshine on Saturday and another little storm rolls in Sunday for fresh pow skiing! It’s going to be great! Get out there and come skiing with us! Shoot Bram or myself a message with any questions!
The van will be available if enough people book for Saturday's mission!
Both Matt and myself are available, stability is good! We will be heading for Heart Strings and the Joffre slalok group.

Hey Aurora crew,
We have a few spots lefts for two rogers pass trips
March.7,8,9 (4 spots left)
March 17,18,19 (5 spots left)
The Aurora van will be heading there from Squamish with space for you. Don’t miss out and get stoked exploring some epic new zones outside the S2S 🇨🇦🍻🙌
Yeah, the cost of hotels in Revy is nuts! Especially for some of the crappy motels.
I’ll let Ben (or other guides) chime in. But I think the issue with basing out of Golden is the risk of closures on the pass. Plus it’s an extra ~ 2 hr drive from S2S where most of us are based. (Which would be a dealbreaker for at least 2 of us signed up for the March 17 trip. )

@kellmurphy1 and I are looking for company for a tour on Wednesday this week. With fresh snow and cold temps in the forecast it’s looking to be a pretty damn good time!
