Basecamp Packing List

For the basecamp trip we will be arriving by helicopter. So each person should have a personal ski bag and a medium (40L) duffel bag for their personal and camping equipment.


Personal Gear List

  • Personal Equipment:

    • Bring your typical day touring equipment (see aurora pass app gear list)

  • Extra Basecamp Clothing:

    • Down Booties or small shoes for around camp (no boots)

    • Night time puffy and insulated / warm over pants

    • Evening Clothes (usually a dry shirt & warm socks)

    • One pair of ski socks per day

  • Personal Camping & Eating Equipment:

    • Sleeping Bag

    • Pad System

    • Sit Pad (or use your sleeping pad!)

    • Cup & Bowl/Plate (ideally collapsible)

    • Fork/Spork & Knife

    • Personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, earplugs)

    • Headlamp with extra batteries

    • Trash Bag

  • Personal Food

    • Snacks & Lunch Per day

    • Breakfast & drink/coffee per morning (hot water only)

Group Gear List

  • Camping Equipment (some coordination by whatsapp is needed here):

    • Tents (1/2-3 people)

    • 1 Stove per 2-3 people (provided by ABC)

    • Snow melting stove & pot

    • Pot & Pan for Cooking Evening Food

    • Large Water Container for group water supply (provided by ABC) (1/2-3 people)

    • Kitchen Shelter/Tarp (provided by ABC)

    • Table Cloth (provided by ABC)

    • Camp Suds Washup equipment

  • Meals

    • Evening meals will require coordination OR use boil bag personal food.

    • Individuals responsible for their own breakfast and day food

  • Group Safety Gear (provided by ABC):

    • Ropes and rope rescue equipment

    • First aid kit

    • Evac Equipment

    • Emergency communication device(s) & Radios

    • Repair Kit(s)

  • Miscellaneous:
